Welcome to AutoFigure, a web service that transforms method text from research papers into fully editable SVG scientific illustrations. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our service.

About AutoFigure

AutoFigure (autofigure.org) is an independent commercial service built on top of AutoFigure-Edit, an open-source research project available on GitHub under the MIT License. AutoFigure provides cloud-based rendering, additional features, and technical support so that researchers can use the technology without local setup. AutoFigure is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the AutoFigure-Edit research team.

Use of the Service

AutoFigure provides users with a service for generating editable SVG scientific illustrations from paper text using LLM generation, SAM3 segmentation, and vectorization. You agree to use the service in accordance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

User Accounts and Registration

1. Account Creation: To access certain features of the service, you need to create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. User Responsibilities: You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

Content and Intellectual Property Rights

• Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you submit to AutoFigure (method text, reference images) and all generated illustrations. You are free to use generated figures in your publications, presentations, and other works.

• Service Technology: You acknowledge that you do not own the underlying technology or intellectual property that makes up the AutoFigure service, and you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of autofigure.org and any third parties.

• Open Source Attribution: AutoFigure is built on AutoFigure-Edit (MIT License). The open-source components are subject to their respective licenses.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities while using AutoFigure:

• Unauthorized access to or distribution of our proprietary systems
• Interfering with or disrupting the security or performance of the service
• Using the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempting to bypass any security features or usage limits of the service
• Automated scraping or bulk downloading of generated content beyond normal usage
